The goal of this project was to develop the brand guidelines and visual identity of an online magazine targeted toward young adult Black men, providing a safe and judgement-free space for relevant conversations. I began my research by examining current magazines geared toward men, especially those with active online publications. However, the overall style and direction of men's magazines often includes higher contrast or neutral color schemes and attempt to appeal to a wide range of ages. Ultimately we decided to go for a lighter, more playful direction.
